How Long do Acne Marks Last?

This question is asked often and no one can give a definitive answer. Some people say the only thing that helps red marks is time. While this is partly true, it doesn’t offer a solution. Waiting around for your teen years to end so hopefully your hormones stop fluctuating is not the proper way to go about healing your redmarks.

Our body has trained itself through thousands and thousands of years to heal itself. This is great news, because it means acne, and red marks will heal if you allow your immune system to become strong enough to do so.

The reason Jonny takes 3 months for his red marks to heal, and Marissa takes 9 months, is because of your bodies health. Your immune system can only deal with so many things at once. If you’ve gotten to the point of having persistent acne, it means your body is already dealing with enough as it is. The most important thing your immune system wants to protect is your vital inner organs. If you continue to damage your body with unhealthy foods, your body will continually work on protecting them. It doesn’t have time to bother with healing something as superficial as your skin. I’m sure many of you out there wish they could tell their immune system, ‘Fuck my liver! Heal these damn redmarks instead!’ Generally speaking, unless you’re very, very unhealthy – your body will always do what’s best for it. Like i’ve said, it’s taken thousands of years for humans to evolve and build this system of handling toxins.

As you start eating healthy and progress on the acne cure program you will see a two fold effect. Firstly, you won’t be getting cysts anymore. We all know that the bigger the acne, the longer the red mark it leaves takes to heal. You will also notice that your acne won’t leave such persistent red marks either. This is because as you become more healthy, your immune system won’t need to worry about the vital inner organs as much and will take time to heal your pimples properly – hence less red marks.

Another tip that may work for some is beach water. I don’t like to give this recommendation because if you suffer from acne, your skin is not ready to stay out in the sun[1]. Sea Salt is part of the acne cure – and remember that I say ‘don’t put anything on your skin that you wouldn’t want to eat.’ It works both ways, since sea salt is healthy to consume, it’s also great for your skin.

[1] Please note that the sun is healthy, it produces Vitamin D – plus has the added effect of giving you a nice tan to cover up your existing red marks. But if you are at the point where you haven’t been eating healthy for at least a few months, your skin is not healthy enough to take kindly to the sun.… Continue reading…

The Simple Cure to Acne

The cure to acne is quite simple. Eat healthy foods and avoid damaging foods and your skin will improve. For the people who are convinced of this fact might want to get more into detail about exactly what they should do…

Acne, the Billion Dollar Business Analyzed

It’s inherent that acne products, and all economy, stems from the desire for money. The effect on the consumers health comes secondary to this fact.

Acne is a business, and business is flourishing.

There are thousands upon thousands of acne products, both prescription and over the counter, that cycle in and out of drugstore shelves. At any given time, there are hundreds of different products that are available to the acne sufferer. They all have similar formulas with the same major ingredients. There are only a few active ingredients ‘shown in studies’ to be effective in ‘managing’ acne – those are Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic acid.  In essence, mostly all OTC acne products are the same thing with a few different inactive ingredients.  Figuring out which one is best is overwhelming for the common acne sufferer. The fact is,  none of them are effective at curing your acne.

Greed, misconception, and its relationship with acne

To understand the acne business model, you must first understand that humans are greedy, and greed in the ecosystem of today’s society directly effects health in many ways.

Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed. – Mahatma Gandhi

In a system where people are rewarded through the accumulation of money, the health of the unsuspecting results. Enron is a classic example of humans greed to accumulate money at the expense of others.  The healthcare and pharmaceutical industries are no different.

Every year, a dozen new acne companies are created. According to the American Acadaemy of Dermatology, 40-50 million people suffer from acne. and each year 85% of teenagers will have acne. [1] This creates a huge market with lots of opportunities for business men to make money.

Common sense will tell us that most of these business men don’t understand the true nature of acne – hell, most dermatologists don’t even understand it’s true nature. Their beliefs are based off of misconception.

The #1 Misconception: Acne is not curable, but treatable and manageable.

This is because the roots from which all acne treatments stems from is an effort in futility. All acne products treat the symptom (acne) and do not treat the true cause (health and nutrition). [3] (see Ladder of Causes)

The fact that the acne market today is based off an effort in futility happens to be very good for business. Understand the cycle of events that take place in an average acne sufferer consumer:

Big acne business and the many unknowns

The pinnacle of business in terms of the acne product market came at the advent of  ProActiv, a sister company of Gunthy Renker Corporation, a direct-response marketer known primarily for selling products in the United States via infomercials. [4]

Right now, we own acne. – Greg Renker, a chief executive of Guthy-Renker

The idea was quite genius, in business terms. Bring together the marketing powerhouse abilities of Gunthy Renker with the preconceived expertise of Dr. Katie P. Rodan… Continue reading…

Does Masturbation Cause Acne?

Think about how many times you’ve masturbated in your life and times that by ten. This is how many times I get this question everyday.

The answer is clear – the answer is simple – NO. Now go back to that porn site, or if you’re more interested, read further.

I’ve heard the argument that masturbation causes a spike in testosterone which in turn puts your hormones out of wack. This causes an increase in sebum production, resulting in our worst friend. I’ve also heard people going months without masturbation, or sex(acne sufferers don’t get laid anyways, right?)

The fact is, hormones do play a role in acne, but not for the same reason the common acne sufferer might think. If masturbation really caused acne, then every single person, with the exception of your 90 year old grandpa, would have it. Married men across the world would have pimples. It’s easy for people to get desperate and take hold of any concept of ‘the acne cure.’ Hell, i’ve been there. One person says your sperm is a great topical for your skin. Another person tells you to stop wacking off – it’s bad for your skin. It all sounds good and feasibly true because it’s like you have no other option anyways. Now you do have an option, the only correct option.

Do you like consuming poison? Then Accutane is the Drug for You!

What does Accutane do to your body? It’s a question I get often and one I am quick to answer — It does a whole lot of damage that usually takes months or years to recover from. In fact, Accutane is the most damaging drug you could take to ‘treat’ your acne. Ah, that feels better – maybe now a few more of you won’t take that leap – that leap off the cliff.

If you’ve read ‘The Acne Cure,’ you’ll know that I am a big proponent of vitamins and minerals. Vitamins and minerals are necessary to maintain health. They are necessary to maintain healthy cells, healthy organs, and healthy skin. Thanks to the modern, processed foods diet, many of the vitamins minerals necessary for health are removed. Yippee.

Accutane is a vitamin A derivative. Derivitave simply means it is ‘derived’ from vitamin A, but isn’t actually vitamin A. It’s easy to think that Accutane is just another form of vitamin a – when in fact it isn’t. If you’ve read my other articles, you’ll notice that i’ve said your body can consume as much healthy food as you want – it will take from it what it needs and throw off the rest. The same goes for most natural vitamins. Notice I said natural vitamins. In fact, your body can take upwards of 80,000 IU of vitamin A per day.

Here’s the difference between vitamin A and Accutane. EVERYTHING. They shouldn’t even be put in the same sentence. Accutane is the furthest thing from natural – it is made in a lab by a Russian guy named Boris and an Indian guy names Deepak. Your body was not built to consume unnatural foods, chemicals, what have you.

Honestly, i’m not really surprised that so many people take Accutane. I clearly remember the feeling of being desperate and clasping my hands on any drug or topical that was said to work. The fact is, Accutane does help some peoples acne. Why does Accutane work for some? The people who created Accutane realized that sebum production had some part to do with why acne is formed on the skin. So they rashly thought(with money on their minds), if you stop the sebum production, you stop acne.

You fools. Thanks for ruining so many lives – and so many more lives to come. Please realize that sebum is necessary for maintaining healthy skin. People with perfect skin produce sebum. Sebum is not the cause of acne. Sebum is not the cause of acne. Sebum is not the cause of acne. Sebum is only one small step on the ladder.

So Accutane stops sebum production – a natural healthy bodily function. That’s like giving someone who feels burning when they go to the bathroom a drug to make them stop peeing. It isn’t natural. And how does Accutane stop sebum production? Simply put, it fucks up your body. It fucks up your body so… Continue reading…
